About Becky
Welcome to Flow&Reform , a small personally run studio, offering Yoga & Reformer Classes for anyone who wants to give it a go. Expect a relaxed, welcoming space where expectations are left at the door and you feel free to come as you are and enjoy movement and stillness, that will build both physical and mental strength, resilience and confidence whilst being supported by myself throughout.
Yoga Classes range of restorative to dynamic so there's something for however you're feeling. You'll get a practice that's authentic to me, flowing through asanas and breathwork, introducing you to mindfulness and meditation and taking your mind away from the stresses of the modern world, even just for an hour.
Reformer Classes offer a layered range of movements with the support of myself and the Reformer adding a sprinkle of resistance or assistance to really enhance your experience and realise your capabilities.
Prior to teaching yoga, I have been a nurse for 10years, working in the NHS. I have practiced yoga for many years beginning a consistent practice after I had my second child, I authentically fell in love with what yoga brought to my life. In 2023, after many years of considering a teacher training in Bali or somewhere similar but finding there was never a good time, I decided to plunge into my teacher training more locally with the wonderfully knowledgable Chris Jackson & Deb Jackson at YogaXLife, I still teach in this wonderful space once a week and practice here regularly as it's such a wonderful community to be part of.
I reduced my NHS working in 2024, but found this was hindering me putting my all into teaching and the pull towards giving my business a real shot was niggling away at me, so in January 2025, I officially left my permanent nursing role, and genuinely, I have not looked back once.
My NHS career taught me a lot, not just about our human bodies, anatomy, physiology and many common conditions and how they can affect us (although I still find this knowledge very useful). It also helped me to see what's important to me, and working long shifts, missing out on parts of my boys growing up was not what I wanted to look back on when they grow up and move out. So here I am, a busy mum of two wonderful boys, navigating running my own business which in turn should give me the opportunity to be present a whole lot more.
If you've already joined me for a Yoga practice, thank you from the bottom of my heart for supporting my small business, and if you're considering coming along to a class, know that I will always be welcoming and forever grateful to those who do, for choosing myself and my space as your place to practice movement or stillness.
Namaste.
